About the Mad Hatter

The Mad Hatter's Leather Shop has been committed to the best leather work. Over the last 38 years I have devoted myself to the Art and Craft of working with leather in all its forms and uses.

These days, my local Kalamazoo Michigan business is mostly concentrated on alterations and repairs of garments, accessories, horse tack and anything that uses a zipper or needs to be stitched. After having run many leather shops over the years, I now work in my home by appointment only.

I still make a few high quality products for retail sale and do accept selected custom work but mainly fix the existing product base of leather goods already out in the general public. I really enjoy helping people.
